Delivery time across Australia is 3 ~ 5 days, larger items, such as furniture and lighting may take longer. We ship from our distribution center in Sydney, so orders to Western Australia and the Northern Territory may on occasion take longer than three days. For international orders delivery typically takes between 3 ~ 5 days, depending on FedEx and the delivery location. Please note all orders require a signature upon receipt and that we are unable to redirect orders once items have been dispatched.

Once your order has left Dunlin you will receive an email with tracking information for Australia Post's e-parcel system. Its simple and straightforward, and allows you to track your order with up to the minute information. For some large items couriers will carry your goods, and we will provide a custom tracking number to allow you to follow the items progress.

Dunlin's return policy enables you to return your purchase for any reason within 5 days of having received it unless it is lighting, or custom made.


However, please choose carefully as refunds are not provided where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection or not contacted Dunlin within five days of receipt.

We provide a warranty (Warranty) that if the Goods fail within 24 months of the date of delivery due to manufacturing defects then we shall repair them free of charge. If we cannot (or it is not economically viable to) repair the faulty Goods, we will provide you with Goods of equivalent specification as a replacement. If no equivalent Goods are available we will discuss an alternative settlement with you, and we will always do our best to make sure that you are fully satisfied with the outcome.

This includes LED lamps if supplied. 

The Warranty does not cover any faults or damage caused by: failure to follow our assembly/installation instructions; improper installation or operation; misuse; abuse; neglect; cleaning or accident (including failure to follow instructions regarding the usage of the correct bulb). If we determined that the Goods have been disassembled or tampered with in any way other than by us then the Warranty will not apply. The Warranty does not apply to any patina or loss of finish.

Additional warranty information Dunlin products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The costs associated with a claim made against these warranties are to be borne by you. These warranties constitute the entire guarantee by Dunlin. Except where otherwise provided by the Australian Consumer Law, all other obligations, warranties, both expressed and implied are excluded to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Many external Davey Lights are produced from brass, bronze or copper, which makes them particularly suited to coastal conditions, as they have a high corrosion resistance and do not rust or corrode under saline conditions. They are commonly used on boats and in marine environments due to these qualities. It is important to consider that the finish itself may ‘weather’ and build up different patinas over time depending on the surrounding conditions. This is intended and protects the underlying metal of the light.

 

Original BTC brass and copper products (such as the Stanley Pendants) should not patinate or weather as they are coated with a clear lacquer that will protect the finish from discolouring in normal conditions. Davey Lights produced from brass and copper will weather and patinate over time according to the conditions in the surrounding environment. When installed outdoors, copper and brass are likely to weather and develop darker patinas, which can range from darker shades of brass/copper to a very dark brown tone and eventually green. When installed indoors, a darker patina or ‘tarnish’ might develop on the surface. This can be removed by using a suitable metal polish if desired.

In order to ensure that the delivery of orders to construction sites is conducted with due care, it is imperative that each delivery is thoroughly inspected and examined for any damage, and that Dunlin is promptly notified of any such damage. Customers are required to inspect all deliveries immediately upon receipt. Goods that are delivered are presumed to be in good condition and accurately delivered unless they are reported as defective or erroneously delivered within a 24-hour period following receipt at the shipping address as recorded by our courier partners. This 24-hour period commences at the time of receipt as registered by our courier partners. Any damage to boxes, material defects, or errors in delivery must be reported to Dunlin within 24 hours. Unless such notification is provided in writing, no replacement or refund will be granted for damaged goods.
