Sandpiper Woven in a fine sateen weave, Sandpiper is an elegant linen in a lightened natural colourway. We recommend that this shade be paired with our Marble Cone Lamp.

Antique White : Abaca (also known as Manilla Hemp) is a natural leaf fibre derived from the abaca plant, part of the banana tree family. The fibre is extracted from the leaf stems and spun into a strong and flexible yarn. A variety of natural tones of the abaca comes through in the weave - from light to dark - reflecting a rustic quality.

Abaca has been identified by the UN as one of four 'Future Fibres' due to its eco credentials. The abaca plant has been shown to enrich the land that surrounds its roots, especially in former rainforests or monoculture plantations.

Seed Produced by the last 'Beetler' in Ireland, Seed is crafted using the unique traditional technique of Beetling that dates back to the early 1700s. The fabric goes through a process where the woven fabric is pounded with wooden mallets (called 'beetlers') resulting in a flat finish on both the face and reverse sides The result is a high sheen, lustrous, crisp, and almost paper like quality. We recommend that this shade be paired with our 'Trilobe' Lamp in White  and 'Capri' Lamp in Black, both by Isabelle Sicart.
